tep away from the clicker, and no one gets hurt.”

This funny saying came to me in a half-dream state as I was waking up the other day. I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first, but then realized my spirit guides were giving me direction for this chapter.

In so much of our lives, we’re being held hostage — long beyond the time we may have budgeted – by television, talk radio, iPods, video games or other electronic diversions. Sometimes it’s important. We learn what’s going on in the world, and we let ourselves be entertained to disengage from daily pressures.

But what if this routine is keeping you from the very advice that could alleviate some of your worries? You end up perpetuating a situation that could have resolved sooner if you hadn’t been distracted and if you had tuned into your inner guidance.

They’re the quiet thoughts that come to you when your mind lets down its guard. They whisper to you, nudge you to open your heart and challenge you to think about things in a different light. That’s because they are coming from the light. They’re from your spiritual guardians whose job it is to guide and protect you whenever possible.

Think of this type of direction as coded love notes from someone who cares about you more than anyone. Don’t you at least want to open them? Don’t you want to try to decipher them?
