Emotional Fortune Cookies
Emotional Health — By Harold Kelley on July 28, 2009 at 1:45 amElevate your emotions with daily tweet-spiration.
When was the last time someone told you they really believed in you? When did you last receive heartfelt honest guidance? When did someone last ask you to take responsibility for your own well being – emotionally, spiritually or in terms of your personal success?
For many, this encouragement and life coaching occurs not often enough. And that’s unfortunate because it’s like the sunshine that helps plants to grow strong and healthy.
Like plants, you are also a living organism. And you need sunshine too, literally and figuratively. So if the rays of inspiration only manifest once in a while or haven’t been felt for years, it’s hard to carry the total responsibility of lifting your emotional state.
Personal Semiotics – both the book and this Web site — was developed to help provide some of that guidance, encouragement and support. It can help you find the right path in life and recognize the symbols that will keep you on course. I am honored if I am able to help you in any small way in that process.
There is another source of daily inspiration I wanted to share as well. And you can get it every day via Twitter or your email. It comes from an inspirational author named Eleesha in the United Kingdom (http://twitter.com/eleesha).
Eleesha has the gift of “automatic writing” where she is able to receive and transcribe messages from her Divine guides in real-time. She has handwritten more than 3,730 original inspirational and powerful soul affirmations, and they have all been transcribed from her handwritten journals. Her goal is to help inspire others to succeed in all that they want in their lives.
When my BlackBerry goes off late at night I’m expecting it to be Eleesha. It always amazes me that the very thing I might be struggling with that day, or the advice I need to hear, is her daily message to her followers. And by the way, she now has 59,443 of them on Twitter, so she is obviously helping a lot of people.
(Here’s a tip: If you want to skip the half dozen additional thank you messages she offers each day to her Twitter followers, sign up via her Web site only at www.eleesha.com.)
At first glance, the messages seem very simple, almost like … “Well I could have said that.” But if you take a few moments to think about the message and apply it to what’s going on in your life, they can have profound relevance. Like a modern-day Confucius, I see Eleesha’s messages as emotional fortune cookies. Even if you can’t eat another bite, you can’t wait to crack open the next cookie just to get the message.
Here is a sampling of those messages from the last two weeks:
Lack evolves not from what is truly lacking, but by what we believe we cannot have.
In the company of our intuition, life’s decisions are easily made.
In the expression of our thanks, we must also be willing to receive thanks.
When you believe in what you do, all you wish or ask for transpires easily.
It is through clarity not obscurity that we rise to become all that we wish to be.
If we are to be judged, let it not be for what we did, but for all we are doing now.
It is in owning your destiny, that your true free spirit is able to fully emerge.
In the company of your inner voice, you are always intuitively guided.
Our desires only manifest in the way and manner that we choose.
Whatever you will and determine in life, has the capability to be created.
Let us be willing to confront our fears, rather than shy away from them.
For all you are willing to learn about others, may you be first willing to learn about yourself.
All that we have, is all that we are able to conceive of having.
All that you truly are, is always found in the smile that you are willing to share.
You may already have sources of inspiration that are important in your life – whether it comes from reading scripture, the people who love you, a life coach or mentor or other sources. If so, don’t let go of those gifts. If you want or need to add another, Eleesha has my blessing.
